2014 TRAININGS

We have a new arrangement for the trainings this year! Not only will you be able to download the training file from our website, but you will be able to get credit for the training there too!

Later this month you will be receiving your own personal login to:  www.ProviderResources.org.
This will enable you to log in and access a number of resources for helping you in your childcare home.

To get credit for the training, take a simple exam based on the training materials. At the end of the exam you will know right away if you have passed and will be sent an email awarding you the training hours! If for some reason you do not pass the exam, simply read the material again then log in and re-take the exam. You can do this as many times as you need

What can I do with my personal login?

We have great plans for you with the website for Provider Resources. We hope to make available soon a searchable archive of newsletters from Provider Resources to allow you to search for ideas and information easily. Also on-line will be a new version of our Teachable Moments guide. This guide will give you ideas and tips for use in your childcare to assist the children to be healthy and happy. Your login will allow you to access our company Forum so that you can connect with other providers and staff for answers to your question or to simply share ideas!
We hope that you will like what you see. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call our office for assistance. If you have any ideas of what you would like to see on our website, please let us know about that too!

What are the trainings about this year?

We have worked hard to put together some great trainings for you on the following subjects:
  • NUTRITION: Bountiful Breakfasts – Learn the importance of breakfast for a growing child and how to make breakfast a fun and nutritional experience for all the children in your care!
  • FOOD SAFETY: Sanitization and Food Safety – Learn about the contributing factors causing foodborne illness and what steps to take to prevent them from occurring. You will also learn about the common symptoms of foodborne illness and how to recognize them in the children in your care.
  • RECORD KEEPING: What To Expect From a Home Review – Learn what your home monitor is looking for when she comes to review your childcare, how to organize your files so that everything is handy when she comes, and how to make sure that your review goes smoothly.
